HeatWell Heater Review – Powerful Heating Fan
HeatWell Heater Overview
HeatWell is a heater that provides warmth in your home and workplace in the winter and the transitional period. It is a compact, lightweight heater that you can take with you anywhere and place wherever you want - the only thing that matters is that there is a power source nearby.
Within ten minutes, the small heater should be able to warm up the room and, at the same time, reduce the heating bill, provided that the central heating system must be used correspondingly less often. As a plug-in heater, the heater is plugged directly into the socket. Then, its temperature can be adjusted as desired.
It is also possible to use the built-in timer to turn off the heater automatically. (Because of the extensive research, the author has allowed himself to use affiliate links. This means that the author receives a small commission when the product is sold without the price changing for you).
Known FAQ about this product
- Q: What size of room is the HeatWell suitable for?
- A: According to the supplier, the heater can heat up to 250 square feet of living space.
- Q: Where should the HeatWell heating fan be connected?
- A: The heater should only be connected to wall outlets for more heat. Grounded three-prong wall outlets are ideal, as they reduce the risk of fire or electric shock. HeatWell should not be used with an extension cord as this will not guarantee safety.
- Q: Can a HeatWell heating fan with a timer be used or plugged into a power strip?
- A: You should always plug HeatWell directly into a wall outlet only. A timer and a power strip are "intermediate" steps that can reduce operational safety.
- Q: Can I use HeatWell outdoors?
- A: The heater is designed to be ideal for indoor use. Therefore, HeatWell should not be used outdoors as moisture and humidity can become a safety hazard.
- Q: How much power does HeatWell consume?
- A: The heater has a power consumption of 800 watts.
- Q: What is the size of HeatWell heater?
- A: The heating fan is 5.6” wide, 3.5” deep and 5.6” high.
- Q: Can I clean the HeatWell heating fan, and if so, how?
- A: It makes sense to clean the heater regularly. To do this, ensure it is disconnected from the power and turned off. The unit's exterior can then be wiped with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. In case of heavy soiling, a mild soap can be used. The surface should then be wiped dry with a soft cloth. Make sure the unit is completely dry before the subsequent use.
- Q: How often does the cartridge of HeatWell need to be replaced?
- A: Generally, if the cartridge is used, it should be replaced every one to three months. You will need to remember this yourself, as, unfortunately, the heater's indicator system does not have a way to notify you when the cartridge needs to be replaced.
- Q: Is HeatWell heating fan ETL listed?
- A: According to the supplier, the heating fan is ETL-listed.
- Q: Will using HeatWell increase my electric bill?
- A: Although HeatWell is energy efficient, according to the vendor, your electric bill will obviously be slightly higher if you use the heater. However, according to the vendor, it only costs a few cents per day.
- Q: Can HeatWell be used within reach of children and pets with a clear conscience?
- A: According to the vendor, the heater is safe to use around children or pets but should only be used under adult supervision. Teaching children to use electrical and electronic devices with caution is also a good idea. Due to the stay-cool housing, the device feels cool to the touch from the outside, which is why, according to the supplier, it is not likely to cause burns when touching the heating fan. Nevertheless, unsupervised use should be avoided.
General HeatWell customer reviews
On the official supplier's website, customers who have already purchased and tested HeatWell have their say. They are mostly positive about the product and report that it helps them save on heating costs, as the HeatWell heating fan is only ever used in the rooms that are being used, while central heating heats the entire apartment or house. According to reviewers, heating is also much faster. Directly on the official product page, you can find more details!
What problems can I address with this heater?
The HeatWell heater suits everyone who likes to warm it in their home. Still, due to the high costs of heating energy sources, it cannot always bring the warmth they would like to have into their four walls. The HeatWell heating fan is supposed to ensure a warm room temperature is created without much expense, and you can create your perfect comfort zone.
With a power of 800 watts, the heating fan is supposed to warm rooms up to 250 square feet in size in just ten minutes. Of course, using the small heating fan requires a power outlet on site. Otherwise, it should always be used by an adult.
What are the pros and cons of a heater?
That cozy warm rooms in winter are not always a matter of course, we had to learn painfully in recent months. Heating has become enormously expensive, and sooner or later, we will have to lower the room temperatures by a few degrees to afford heating in winter.
But for now, this only applies to heating the entire room: the solution in overall cooler rooms may be to create heat at points where we are. This can be done with portable electric fan heaters - or their little brothers, electric heaters for the wall socket.
Electric heaters basically work according to the resistance principle: heat is generated by the electrical resistance that the current passes through a specific material experience (by the way, the good old stove tops with their built-in heating coils also work similarly).
There are some fundamental differences between conventional fan heaters and ceramic electric heaters: electric fan heaters run the current through filaments and then distribute the resulting heat in the room with the help of a fan. This causes larger rooms to heat up over time due to the constant airflow. This makes for continual fan noise and, occasionally, slightly burnt odors when the filaments get too hot from time to time.
A ceramic heater does not distribute air through a fan - which pleasantly lowers the noise level. In addition, the heat emitted by the hot ceramic element is not widely distributed into the room air ("convection principle"). Still, it acts as heat radiation on the point to which the heating element is directed.
Another advantage is that ceramic heaters are allergy-friendly: Ordinary fan heaters constantly stir up dust because the convection principle means that cold air continually flows to the fan heater and warm air flows away. Therefore, the atmosphere in the room is constantly swirled around the fan heater. Dust from the floor is continuously found in the air - which can lead to an always dry throat and, in the case of house dust allergy sufferers, to one or two allergy attacks. With ceramic heaters, which work mainly via heat radiation, there are hardly any swirling air currents - and thus hardly any dust in the room.
You can easily calculate the electricity costs incurred by the heater yourself: the power consumption of the device (indicated on the heater) is decisive for this. For this purpose, the power rating in watts only needs to be converted into kW (kilowatts). After that, you only have to multiply it by the duration (in hours) and the current electricity price (you can find out from your electricity provider). To be safe, you should calculate an electricity price of $0.3 per kWh, depending on the contract. On the official product page, you can find more information!
Example:
- This heating fan has an output of 800 watts at full power. One thousand watts equals 1 kW, so the power consumption is 0.8 kW.
- Let's assume our heater runs for 1.5 hours at a time. The calculation then looks like this:
- 0.8 kW x 1.5 hours x $0.30/kWh = $0.36 electricity costs for 1.5 hours.
- Thus, The electricity costs are within a manageable range. However, extended periods of use can still result in high electricity costs. If the same heater were to run day and night for the entire heating period in Germany (2,200 hours), this would result in annual electricity costs of around $650 - $750 per year, or around $50 - $60 per month.
- Electricity consumption is often lower for a heating fan set in several stages or with thermostat control (adjustable temperature). At lower power levels, the power consumption of the device is also correspondingly lower - thus, the power consumption at low power levels.
- A thermostatic control system only switches the unit when the temperature falls below a certain threshold. This shortens the overall running time of the appliance - which, as seen from the example calculation above, also reduces electricity costs. (If the unit had only been in active operation for 45 minutes during these 1.5 hours due to thermostat control, the electricity costs would already have been halved).
- · Additionally, selectively used heaters are a perfect and convenient way to still feel reasonably comfortable at lower room temperatures (if possible, plug the ceramic heating fan into a nearby outlet and point it at you). Electricity costs are incurred, of course - but to a manageable extent. Thermostat settings and power levels should be used wisely to keep electricity costs from the heating fan as low as possible.

HeatWell heating fan review
The HeatWell is a small, compact, and lightweight device that, according to the provider, can be used in addition to central heating. The provider also puts forward savings costs, but this is only possible if the central heating takes over frost protection and the HeatWell is only ever used in the room you are currently in. Heating up should be possible within ten minutes, provided the room is smaller than 250 feet.
You can determine precisely how warm it gets in the room and how high the electricity costs for operation are by setting the temperature yourself. You can choose between 60- and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, you can make the HeatWell turn off by itself in the winter by setting the timer.
This way, you can ensure that the automatic shutdown takes place after one hour or twelve hours at the latest. The operation itself is very quiet, according to the provider, which makes HeatWell ideal for winter use in the office or bedroom. The device is plugged directly into a power outlet, so no cables are around.
Since the HeatWell heating fan can be rotated up to 270 degrees, you can adjust it so that the generated heat reaches you directly. Overall, the HeatWell is a well-thought-out device that can be very pleasant, especially in winter, and provides cozy warmth. Unfortunately, the provider has not published any proof of quality so far. Still, the reviewers so far are very optimistic about the heating fan.
