Swedavia AB's Annual General Meeting 2024

On Monday 29 April, Swedavia AB held its Annual General Meeting.

At the Annual General Meeting, Ulrika Francke was elected as the new Chair of the Board of Swedavia AB with Åke Svensson stepping down from his position after eight years in the post. Ulrika Francke has a solid background as a business leader and board member in both private and public organisations.

The Annual General Meeting also decided to re-elect Tor Clausen, Nina Linander, Lars Mydland, Eva Nygren, Per Sjödell, Lottie Svedenstedt, Annica Anäs and Peter Blomqvist. At the Annual General Meeting, Lottie Svedenstedt resigned from Swedavia's Board of Directors on her own initiative.

Swedavia’s interim report for the first quarter of 2024: More passengers, a stronger commercial offering and an improved range of routes and destinations led to increased net revenue, improved EBITDA and stronger cash flow

Net revenue for the period increased by SEK 154 M to SEK 1,443 M. Higher passenger volume and fee adjustments have contributed to this increase. Cash flow for the period was positive and amounted to SEK 57 M, an increase of SEK 76 M compared with the previous year. Swedavia reported EBITDA of SEK 175 M for the quarter, which is an increase of SEK 55 M compared with the previous year.

Swedavia’s traffic statistics for May 2024: International travel within Europe continues to be prioritised despite the macroeconomic situation, while domestic air travel continues to see weaker growth

During May, more than 3 million passengers flew via one of Swedavia's ten airports. This represents an increase of 2 per cent compared to May of last year. Despite macroeconomic headwinds, international traffic increased by 6 percent and was driven by increased international travel within Europe.
