IN A NUTSHELL

If your account is compromised, you would know so at the time you are logging in to your account and not through an email from them.

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IS

1  you would click on the link and it will take you to a webpage that looks like the real page, but the address at the url would look like the real thing, but it would have extra numbers and letters and it will be hosted in some other place.

2  if you enter your username and password

•  the page will say thank you, you can now proceed to your account and
  
•  that you dont need to change your password, and that they will notify you when to change it
  
• they will redirect you to the real yahoo page
  
• while you are unaware they are accessing your account and downloading the full content of your email 
  
• they will go through your information and steal your personal data which will then be used for criminal purposes and off course, to empty your bank account or simply to start a new identity .
  

The purporse of this article is to open your mind to the new era of scams, they can be as real as the real owner.  It is up to you to pay attention and make sure you read everything before you click.
