From fashion to furniture, textiles to sculpture, few designers switch quite so confidently between disciplines as British artist Faye Toogood. As Guest of Honour at Stockholm Furniture 2025, Toogood will create a captivating installation in the entrance hall. Her ability to work across disciplines ensures that her contribution will set the tone for the 2025 fair.
August 27-29, it's time for Formex. When the fair opens for the 116th time at Stockholmsmässan, visitors will be treated to a mix of speakers, workshops, and design happenings. As always, unique theme and trend exhibitions and new types of café collaborations will be created, this time by Anna Starrén, Hilke Collection, Silk-ka Flowers, and Jan Rundgren.

Stockholm Furniture Fair kickstarts the design year 2024 with a series of news – including a new arena for young progressive design brands and three exciting design bars in collaboration with Nordic creatives. Among the exhibiting brands are both returning brands and first-time exhibitors.
The Scandinavian Design Awards will be launched in 2023. This new initiative aims to recognise and pay tribute to both established players and newcomers within architecture, interiors and design, in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Due to the current national situation, Formex in August has been canceled. Today it was confirmed that industry organization Swedish Wood will be the Sustainability Partner for Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. This represents a long-term commitment to sustainability for both the fair and Swedish Wood, with a focus on knowledge about using natural materials and recycling to create a more sustainable and circular event.

This year’s Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, the world’s leading meeting place for Scandinavian design, will be held on February 4–8. The issue of sustainability is a clear presence in the designs, material choices and production processes of many exhibitors this year.
Formex has established the Formex Nova award – Nordic Designer of the Year, to promote high quality Nordic design created by a still relatively unknown designer working in the Nordic interior design industry. A jury appoints the nominees for the award. The winner will be presented August 18.
Design studio Doshi Levien is the Guest of Honour at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2020. Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair will feature the exhibition Re-defining the Office, about what it will take to keep the workplace relevant in a cloud-based reality.
