Press release -

Nordbygg 2020 coming to life

Nordbygg 2018 was judged by exhibitors and visitors to be the best edition ever. The exhibitors especially appreciated a record international interest, something that confirms that the fair is the industry’s foremost in the Nordics and the Baltics. Right now, the Nordbygg team is working to make Nordbygg 2020, April 21 - 24, at least as appreciated.

Nordbygg’s focus for 2018 on innovation and digital features on the hall floor and in the seminar program brought a huge interest. To contribute to keeping the innovation kettle boiling is important to Nordbygg, who for 2020 will be developing this part further.

– Yes, we are planning a large innovation arena where we will offer space for new and old companies, products and services. The requirement is that it should have a clear innovation focus, says Peter Söderberg, Project Manager at Nordbygg.

Veterans are gathering strength
Today, with 15 months left until the opening on April 21st 2020, close to 70 per cent of the exhibition area is already booked. Two exhibitors who have acted are the Nordbygg veterans Systemair and Weland, who both say that the fair is an essential part of the market mix.

– We have always taken part at Nordbygg, ever since it started. To us and the ventilation industry, this fair is the most important meeting point in Scandinavia and the Baltics, says Gerald Engström, founder and chairman of Systemair.

The company has a turnover of in excess of 8 billion and is investing a lot in product development, and every week, Systemair launches on average one new product from one of its companies around the world. This creates the basis for a very interesting stand.

New exhibitor trend
– An interesting trend that we have noted, is that more and more Groups gather their subsidiaries in one stand. We saw Bosch doing it in 2018 and next time the industrial Group Weland will do the same, says Peter Söderberg.

Weland has previously spread their exhibiting companies over several stands, but now they have decided to do the opposite. Mattias Andersson, Head of Marketing at the parent company Weland AB, sees great advantages to gathering all of the Group’s exhibitors in one large stand.

– It is part of an important strategy which will give the visitors a completely new, stronger and more relevant impression of us and at the same time we are helping the Group’s smaller companies to be seen, says Mattias Andersson.
