25 Talents Selected for Formex Design Talents August 2024

On August 27th, Formex – the Nordic region's most important meeting place for interior design – opens, and as usual, selected designers will showcase their products in the Formex Design Talents area. One of the designers will then be chosen as the winner of "Best in Show." The award goes to the designer who stands out the most in terms of idea, form, and presentation and is announced on the opening day.

Formex Design Talents is an area where non-established designers, from Sweden and internationally, can apply to exhibit and thus get the opportunity to showcase their products to buyers, producers, and media – while visitors and exhibitors at Formex get to experience new and exciting design talents. Over the years, hundreds of designers have shown their works in the area, and earlier this year, during the January fair, the award went to Madeleine Möllard for her 3-dimensional objects inspired by the summery beauty of nature.

"The area where our Design Talents booths are located is absolutely buzzing with energy and a sense of discovery, and it’s one of our major highlights. It is so incredibly important to highlight, encourage, and shed light on the future and growth in the industry, and therefore it is immensely gratifying that applications for Design Talents in August are breaking previous records, which shows light in the industry," says Sonja Björk Ebert, project manager for Formex.
