Press release -

Sigma Technology expands in Halmstad to take a pivotal role in innovation of local companies

Sigma Technology Systems starts a new office in Halmstad to offer professional software & application development, digitalization services, and embedded solutions for local tech startups and well-established SMEs and welcomes IT experts to join the team.

Sigma Technology Systems, a well-established company with 9 locations in Sweden, has announced the launch of a new office in Halmstad. Favorable geographical location in the central part of the west coast, a developed business community supported by the local municipality, and Halmstad University with a strong background in engineering and informatics, became decisive when it came to strategic expansion of the company.

The Halmstad Municipal Board's plan to evolve the sustainable business life fully matches Sigma Technology’s vision on creating both good employment conditions for local talents and supporting companies and institutions on their innovation journey. The official city’s website states: “There is a need for a good innovation climate with a forward-looking approach and industries that contribute to a higher level of education. This applies to the municipality as well as to the business community.”

Tobias Johansson, Unit Manager at Sigma Technology Systems, comments: “Halmstad is a city of knowledge that is driven by creativity. That’s why I think collaboration with local tech companies that are at the forefront of innovation, and, of course, well-established SMEs, will bring its fruits and make a solid contribution to the welfare of the region. We will focus on providing professional software & embedded systems development, and digital transformation services. Geographical position in the West of Sweden, where Sigma Technology Systems is heavily presented, opens up a great opportunity for our teams to share knowledge and offer flexible skill supply for our customers there.”

Tobias Johansson also adds: “We have already started haunting for talents in Halmstad and actively recruit software developers with a background in React, Vue or Angular programming languages. As the next step, we are going to attract embedded systems developers, and digitalization consultants. The goal is to establish a solid team with cross-industry expertise, technology know-how, and entrepreneurial spirit, who will perform as a voice of change.”
