Press release -

Sigma IT continues to expand within cyber security

Sigma IT continues to expand in cyber security and recruits Martin Anderberg as head of the cyber security business area.

Cyber security is an area that affects society as a whole and all companies and businesses need to prioritize this area and act proactively. The cyber threats are becoming more and more advanced. Every year, the World Economic Foundation conducts an analysis on global risks and over the past 8 years, cyber-attacks have been among the risks identified on a global basis, along with other serious issues such as climate change and terrorist attacks (http://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_Global_Risks_Report_2019.pdf).

In Sweden, the analysis company Radar points out that the cyber security market will reach almost SEK 9.8 billion in 2019. It is also seen that the market will continue to grow both globally and within the EU, driven by both legislation and an increasing awareness of the challenges in cyber security.

In order for Sigma IT to meet the need from its clients to a greater extent, an investment in cyber security is being made, where Martin Anderberg is recruited as responsible.

– I am very excited to be part of this journey that Sigma IT does in Cyber security. It is a competence- and entrepreneurial company that has succeeded well with both growth and results, and that I see as very positive. My experience and expertise fit well into the business and I look forward to meeting new and existing customers and seeing how we best can meet their needs and secure their business, says Martin Anderberg Business Area Manager Cybersecurity.

Martin Anderberg has a great technical interest in IT in general and has worked in various roles in the IT field for the past 20 years, both as a specialist and as a leader. His most recent position was as Nordic head of the company's solution architects at Dustin. Prior to that, he was CEO and owner of a consulting and infrastructure company with approx. hundred employees sold to Dustin in 2017.

Lars Kry, CEO Sigma IT concludes:

– It is with great pleasure that we welcome Martin to us. He will contribute in a very strong way and is exactly the right person for us, both in terms of his values that are consistent with the company's as well as the experience in cyber security that is an area that is incredibly exciting, and the development is very fast. We see cyber security as an important part of our offering and the goal is to become one of the naturally requested suppliers by our customers in this area as well.
