Awards supported by Asia Pacific Association of Communications Directors to recognise local senior business leaders for sophisticated media and communications skills

Aims to realise Hong Bao Media's vision of ensuring every Asian business leader is a world-class presenter

SINGAPORE, Monday, January 11, 2021 – Hong Bao Media, a leading provider of media and communications services founded by ex-CNBC anchor Mark Laudi, has today announced six winners for the third annual Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards.

The awards recognise local business leaders for their media skills, and showcase skilled and credible home-grown communicators. A new category, “Best COVID Communications”, was added this year to recognise business leaders who communicated particularly well about the pandemic.

The Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards 2020 were also supported by the Asia Pacific Association of Communications Directors (APACD), whose judges ascertained the winners.

"Persuasive and authentic spokespeople are powerful tools for business, non-profits and governments,” said Keith Morrison, Treasurer at APACD, “We believe media skills are foundational for leadership, and these awards encourage local leaders in Singapore and Malaysia to nurture these capabilities and embrace media to share their stories with the public."

"All the shortlisted candidates of the Hong Bao Media Savvy Awards 2020 demonstrated exemplary communication skills, imparting valuable learnings about media presence and new media trends and what we've known all along: that our local business leaders can be just as good communicators as their Western counterparts," said Hong Bao Media CEO Mark Laudi. "Our vision is to build a culture of excellence in communication, to maximise the potential of Asian companies in the Asian century.”
