How to flirt with SMS, whatsapp and MSN

In my last article, I talked about why you are turning girls off with your SMSes, whatsapp and MSN. Go read it if you have not.

In this article, we shall explore how to flirt with these electronic means. When I mention the word flirt, some people might misunderstand it as "sexual talk". Nothing can be further than the truth. I was doing a consultation work with a client once, and she mentioned that she flirts very well on SMS. I was surprised, so I asked her to show me her SMS texts. To my horror, she was turning every SMS into sexual topics. That is just a minor part of flirting. And she was wondering why men were treating her like a sex object.

What is Flirting?
The dictionary defines it as:
Behave as though attracted to or trying to attract someone, but without serious intentions

SMS Thought Process
The KEY advantage of SMS is that you can THINK before sending out the SMS. And that time to think gives you a tremendous advantage. 

One of my clients used to drive me up the wall. We would discuss what to SMS and how to flirt with the girl. However, when he printed out the MSN transcripts and showed it to me, it was blatently clear that he did not put in any thought at all. All his replies were just typed without thinking. I made him sit in front of me and refine the answers, until he removed all the neediness and had a suitable amount of flirting in the SMSes.

• Be more casual
• Dont scold or "should" her, keep it fun and light
• Follow up on previous messages
• Share something first before asking questions
• Imply meanings
• Qualify - disqualify

Be More Casual
Some examples of non casual conversation

Guy: We can meet up for a movie someday
Girl :Hmm, not sure if I have time. I am always working.
Guy: I work every Monday to Friday 0830hrs to 1800hrs. I am available the rest of the time. What about you?
Comments: It might seem incredible, but I swear to you, this was a message sent out by one of my students. Whats wrong with it? Its way too serious! It seems like a message a large corporation would send, rather than a man who is passionately in love with you.
My suggestion: Thats nice. Just as long as you make enough to support the both of us :)

You think that guys are the only one that make this mistake? Let me show you another real example from a lady.

Him: Hey you can start shopping for your car. I heard that COE has dropped to all time low
Her: Thanks for the news. But market is volatile. The price might keep dropping.
This is an example of a lady who replied in a very professional, formal way. It sounds like my analyst from the bank is writing me an email that is CCed to his boss.
Suggestion: Wow, really? Thanks for your tip! :) I am terrible at choosing cars though...
This is a chance for you to meet up with him in the pretense of buying a car.
