- Singapore, 03 October 2012 – The Ascendas Group has received accolades for excellence in
transparency and corporate governance at the 2012 Securities Investors Association of Singapore
(SIAS) Investors’ Choice Awards. Into its 13th year, the annual SIAS Investors’ Choice Awards
recognises companies which have maintained and consistently delivered the highest standards of
corporate governance. - Ascendas President and CEO Ms Chong Siak Ching said, “Strong corporate governance and
transparency are key to building trust amongst the investor community. As a Group, Ascendas strives to maintain the highest standards of corporate governance and transparency in our dealings with all stakeholders. We are grateful to SIAS for this recognition.” - Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust (A-REIT) has been commended for its transparency in eight of the nine years since the Most Transparent Company Award for REITs category was introduced in 2004, four years as the winner, and another four as runner up. This year, management leadership has also been recognised with the award of the Brendan Wood International - SIAS TopGun CEO Designation to its CEO Mr Tan Ser Ping. First time in Singapore, the award is presented to CEOs rated best-in-class by shareholders on the Brendan Wood International Panel and is awarded to fewer than 10% of the world’s major corporate leaders.

- Ascendas India Trust (a-iTrust) is Merit winner of the Singapore Corporate Governance Award in the REITs category this year, following its win of the Most Transparent Company Award in the New Issues category upon its listing on the Singapore Exchange in 2007. Building on this track record, Ascendas Hospitality Trust (A-HTRUST) is Runner Up Most Transparent Company in the New Issues category following its listing in July this year.
