Pressinbjudan: Isländsk visselblåsare tar emot världsledande hållbarhetspriset WIN WIN i Göteborg

Den 21 oktober är det dags för årets vinnare av WIN WIN Award att ta emot en miljon kronor i Göteborg. Utmärkelsen har kallats ”det sjätte Nobelpriset” och delas årligen ut till banbrytande initiativ inom hållbar utveckling. I år är temat anti-korruption och vinnaren är den isländske visselblåsaren Jóhannes Stefánsson. På plats för att dela ut priset är civilminister Lena Micko (S).

World-leading sustainability prize to Colombian youth organisation for fighting corruption

Through the WIN WIN youth award, attention is drawn to initiatives by people of ages 13 to 29, who fight corruption and abuse of power with commitment and courage. Genom ungdomspriset WIN WIN Youth Award uppmärksammas initiativ från unga mellan 13 och 29 år som med engagemang och mod bekämpar korruption och maktmissbruk. Whistleblower Jóhannes Stefánsson proves that individuals can fight corruption – wins WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award 2021

This year’s winner of the WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award is now presented. The prestigious award goes to the Icelandic whistleblower Jóhannes Stefánsson who, with his life at stake, led the revelation of a widespread corruption scandal connected to fishing quotas in Namibia. The prize of 1 million SEK is presented to the winner at an award ceremony in Gothenburg in October.

World leading sustainability award draws attention to anti-corruption heroes - here are this year's finalists

During the past few months, the world-leading sustainability award has sought nominations from individuals and organisations that actively combat corruption and thereby improve the opportunities for the world's countries to achieve the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. The jury is now presenting the five finalists who have a chance to win this year's award, with a prize of one million SEK.
