Dan Brown to attend Gothenburg Book Fair 2025

One of the world’s most widely read authors is coming to Gothenburg Book Fair. Dan Brown - the bestselling author of The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, and Inferno - will be one of the headline guests at this year’s fair. With his unique blend of historical intrigue, art, religion, and science, he has captivated millions of readers around the globe. In September, he makes his first official public appearance in Sweden.

“Dan Brown is a dream guest for Gothenburg Book Fair. His stories have brought both avid and new readers into the world of books, and sparked discussions about symbolism, belief systems, and scientific curiosity. We are proud and thrilled to welcome him to this year’s fair,” says Oskar Ekström, Program Director of Gothenburg Book Fair.

Dan Brown’s highly anticipated new novel The Secret of Secrets will be released globally on September 9, 2025. It is the sixth installment in the internationally beloved series about Harvard professor Robert Langdon. In this new thriller, Langdon travels to Prague to attend a lecture by Katherine Solomon, a prominent researcher in noetic science with whom he has recently begun a relationship. The evening takes a dark turn with a brutal murder and a mysterious disappearance, plunging Langdon into an intense chase across Europe and the United States – where futuristic science collides with ancient folklore, and a shocking discovery threatens to redefine our understanding of human consciousness.

“Thank you for inviting me to this year’s Gothenburg Book Fair. I’m really looking forward to joining you for this occasion, which also marks my first time in Sweden. I’m excited for the opportunity to meet my Swedish readers and to personally thank them for their support for all my books over many years, and to speak to them about my latest, which I consider to be my most intricately plotted and ambitious to date,” says Dan Brown.

Dan Brown is a literary giant whose works have been translated into 56 languages, sold over 250 million copies, and left a mark far beyond the boundaries of literature. The Secret of Secrets will be published simultaneously in eighteen countries and has been translated into Swedish by Torun Reuterswärd and Ylva Spångberg. The previous books in the Robert Langdon series will be reissued in new paperback editions in spring 2025.

This marks Dan Brown’s first official public appearance in Sweden – and his participation will be one of the major highlights of the 2025 Book Fair.

Gothenburg Book Fair 2025 takes place from September 25–28 at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre.
