BookTok stars Jack Edwards and Ayman Chaudhary return to Gothenburg Book Fair!
After last year’s major success, BookTok profiles Jack Edwards and Ayman Chaudhary are returning to Gothenburg Book Fair in 2025. Their seminar on the world’s largest book club, #BookTok, together with Jasmine Darban and moderator Matilda Westermark, became one of the Fair’s most attended events – even surpassing the Sjöjungfrun/Mermaid seminar featuring Joyce Carol Oates. With a record-breaking audience of young and young adult book lovers, they demonstrated the power of the digital reading movement.
This year, Jack and Ayman are taking the next step by hosting their own series of seminars, featuring specially invited authors. Together, they will explore themes such as romance tropes, loneliness, satire, and the art of writing spicy scenes – inviting the audience into new conversations about reading, writing, and the magic of storytelling.
"I am so honoured to be back at the Gothenburg Book Fair! There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by stories, inspiration, and fellow book lovers," says Ayman Chaudhary.
Meanwhile, Jack Edwards continues his rapid international rise. Just last week, it was announced that he has been named to Forbes’ prestigious "30 Under 30" list in Europe, recognized for his influence as a book influencer and cultural creator.
"It’s fantastic to welcome Jack and Ayman back to Gothenburg. They represent a new generation of readers and literary ambassadors, and their energy and love for books inspire both audiences and the authors they meet," says Oskar Ekström, Programme Director at Gothenburg Book Fair.
Gothenburg Book Fair 2025 will take place from 25–28 September at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre. This year's themes are Drama and Love and Lust. The full seminar programme will be announced on 27 May.
