Over 500 reports
In October 2023, the world’s first research portal for recycled tyre rubber, named "End-of-Life Tyre Research Portal" (ELTRP), was launched. The research portal now contains 500 reports and will be updated continuously.
Recycled tyre rubber is well-researched material, but there has been a need for a centralised platform. ELTRP addresses this need by compiling scientific facts about the material in an accessible and efficient manner, something fundamental for the industry as well as for policymakers, authorities, the media, and the general public. Key focus areas include chemical composition, performance, material usage, health and the environment, and products. The portal also features a glossary of terms commonly found in reports about recycled tyre rubber. The research portal is built on an advanced search engine, where both metadata and full-text reports are searchable. With a strong ambition for structured metadata management in both English and original languages, searching on ELTRP is both straightforward and powerful.
The portal was initiated by Swedish Tyre Recycling with support from international tyre recycling organisations. The research portal now contains 500 reports and will be updated continuously. The goal is for ELTRP to become the definitive database for consolidated research on recycled tyre rubber.
