Stockholm Film Festival Junior organizes a film screening for Ukrainian children and their families free of charge

Earlier this March Stockholm International Film Festival announced that Ukraine will be the focus nation at the fall festival. Now, during the Stockholm Film Festival Junior, the festival will be arranging a special screening for the Ukrainian children and families that are arriving in Stockholm or who are already here.

The animated film Gulliver Returns is showing at Grand theater the 30th of March at 10 AM. The film, which is a part of the official selection at Stockholm Film Festival Junior, will be shown with Ukrainian dialogue and is based on an idea by president Volodymyr Zelenskyj.

The festival are welcoming all Ukrainian children and their families to attend this screening for free.

We are arranging this extra screening as we believe it is important to show support in every possible way. With the film's strong connection to Zelenskyj, we hope that the screening can inspire and be a meeting place for Ukrainian kids and their families that are in Stockholm - says Beatrice Karlsson, Program Department, Stockholm Film Festival.

In Gulliver Returns we meet Gulliver who is no longer a giant but who possesses a giant’s courage and heart. The film's producer, Oleg Khodachuk, says that the character is based on Zelenskyj’s ideas and ideals.

Gulliver Returns is a part of the official selection for Stockholm Film Festival Junior and will also be available on Festival on Demand with English dialogue and Swedish subtitles.
