Scope sells its shareholding in Colosseum Smile to Jacobs Holding AG

Scope Growth II L.P. has agreed to sell its ownership in Colosseum Smile, the leading Scandinavian provider of private dental care, to Jacobs Holding AG. Jacobs Holding is a global professional investment firm based in Zurich and founded in 1994 by entrepreneur Klaus J. Jacobs. The transaction is agreed to close in the beginning of 2017.

Scope invested in Smile in 2007, at the time operating two dental clinics in Sweden, with the vision to lead the consolidation of the Scandinavian dentist market. In 2014 Smile merged with Norwegian market leader Colosseum, creating the clear market leader in the Nordic dental care market.

Headquartered in Oslo, Colosseum Smile offers a full range of dental care services through 52 state of the art clinics across Scandinavia and has taken an active role in consolidating the fragmented dental care markets in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Today the group’s sales amounts to over 1.2 billion NOK.
