Freedom of expression a fact in Sweden, or..........
Freedom of expression, one of the rights as granted to every living being on this planet by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is considered by most people in Sweden as a “fait accompli”. Everyone can say what he wants to say, isn’t it? But is this really so?
A member of a religious community, registered in Sweden as such and enjoying recognition and protection under the Swedish Constitution, registered with a Swedish press release company, followed by the publication of a press release. Shortly after the member was told by the very director of the firm that further publications or membership with his company were not possible, due to pressures from certain clients of his firm.
Freedom of expression and freedom of religion must be made a fact, not an idealistic dream.
That is why the Church of Scientology supports and sponsors the Youth for Human Rights and United for Human Rights campaign and works in conjunction with the United Nations and its affiliated organizations in forwarding knowledge of and education on The Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
