SAS Technical Services appoints local base managers
SAS Technical Services (STS) has implemented a new organisation with three main bases in respectively Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm and has made the following
appointments:
Copenhagen
Ulrik Spange (39) has been recruited as head of the STS Aircraft Maintenance base at Copenhagen Airport. Ulrik Spange previously held a number of important top management positions, e.g. as Technical Manager of SAS Commuter and of Air Greenland.
Before rejoining the SAS Group Ulrik Spange worked as the maintenance director at Arriva, where he was overall responsible for the maintenance of a fleet consisting of approx. 1800 buses and for the management of an organisation with approx. 200 employees at 20 workshops in Denmark and Sweden. Ulrik Spange is MSc. in Engineering and furthermore holds a diploma in Specialized Business Studies.
Oslo
Per Magne Mathisen (48) has been appointed manager of the STS Aircraft Maintenance base at Gardermoen Airport, Oslo. Mr. Mathisen joined the SAS Group in 1986 and has since then been in charge of a vast number of important management positions in the SAS Group: as e.g. Facility Manager, Technical Director, Norway and most recently as a member of the STS top management group with dedicated responsibility for Aircraft Maintenance. In addition to his new position as manager of the STS base in Oslo Per Magne Mathisen also acts as the Deputy Managing Director of SAS Technical Services. Per Magne Mathisen holds a graduate MSc Engineering degree and is furthermore Bachelor of Commerce (BCom).
Stockholm
Roland Ejdepalm (56) has been appointed manager of the STS Aircraft Maintenance base at Arlanda Airport, Stockholm. Mr. Ejdepalm joined the SAS Group as a young apprentice in 1968 and has since then worked as an aircraft technician, as team leader, project leader and as the technical manager of the domestic SAS routes in Sweden. Roland Ejdepalm has furthermore extensive experience as the Scandinavian Manager responsible for logistics and stocks and has also previously acted as production manager for Traffic Related Maintenance and as Country Manager Sweden. Roland Ejdepalm is a trained and certified aircraft technician.
