Mark Strong Joins Cast of Total War™: ROME II

SEGA today announced that the gravelly and authority-laden tones of Sherlock Holmes villain Mark Strong will be guiding players through the opening stages of their ROME II experience from the 3^rd September. Catch him in action as the power-hungry General Silanus in this video short that also touches on the game’s incredible soundtrack; performed by the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Dark Knight and I am Legend veteran, Jeff Atmajian.

Lend Me Your Ears - The Audio of Total War: ROME II also shows a little of the extraordinary and bruising lengths the sound effects team go to to get the most authentic sounding ancient battles possible.

Total War: ROME II is out on the 3^rd September worldwide.

Total War: ROME II First Week Pre-orders Conquer All Others, Limited Numbers of Collector’s Edition left.

Today SEGA revealed that ROME II is already the fastest pre-ordered Total War game to date, with over six times the number of gamers ordering the title in its first official week as did for previous title SHOGUN 2. The exclusive and highly-limited Collector’s Edition has also pre-ordered well, with over half the available copies already sold out in the US.

Total War: ROME II Preload Starts Today, Activation Times Announced for Release Day

Creative Assembly today announced the Activation Time for ROME II on its release day next week as a single worldwide unlock time of zero hours US Pacific Time on the 3rd Sept, equivalent of 00:00 PDT / 03:00 EDT / 08:00 BST / 09:00 CET / 17:00 AEST.

At Creative Assembly we are very pleased with the response to ROME II, with hundreds of thousands of players enjoying the game so far; but we do know that, as with all large PC releases, the variety of hardware and general system specifications can cause issues for some people and we are urgently working to help get them the right experience.
