Andreas Nikolic new CEO of NTEX

GOTHENBURG – Andreas Nikolic will assume the role as CEO of the Swedish logistic company, NTEX, effective 1 February 2025, the company announced today. He will succeed Thomas Ström, the founder of NTEX, who will continue contributing to the company as part of its strategic team.

Following Stena AB’s acquisition of a majority stake in NTEX in August this year, the founder and CEO Thomas Ström announced his intention to hand over the role to Andreas Nikolic.

NTEX now confirms that Thomas Ström will step down as CEO on 31 January 2025, with Andreas Nikolic assuming the role on 1 February 2025.

“I am deeply honoured to have been given this opportunity to lead NTEX into the future. It is, of course, a significant responsibility to follow in the footsteps of Thomas Ström, who has devoted his life to building this company. Together with our 1,100 employees, I am confident we will continue to drive the growth and success of NTEX,” said Andreas Nikolic.

Nikolic brings extensive experience from the transport industry and joined NTEX in 2012 as CEO of NTEX AS, the Norwegian branch. In 2022 Nikolic was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of NTEX Group and under his leadership, NTEX has grown into a major industry player with a strong presence throughout Europe and beyond.

“The transport industry is continuously evolving and facing increasing competition. Andreas Nikolic has the ideal background to address these challenges with his team. I am confident he will continue to enhance and grow NTEX,” said Niclas Mårtensson, Chairman of the NTEX Board of Directors.

While Thomas Ström will step down as CEO, he remains actively involved in the company as member of its strategic team.

“Thomas Ström is a true entrepreneur and has built this company from the ground up into the successful business it is today. His industry knowledge is exceptional and his network is invaluable. I am pleased that he will continue to support the company through acquisitions and new ventures,” said Niclas Mårtensson.
