Meet Jack Reilly, new General Manager for Hobo Hotel

Jack Reilly is the new General Manager for Hobo Hotel at Brunkebergstorg in Stockholm. Coming most recently from being both Food & Beverage Manager and Operations Manager at the hotel, he will continue to develop the Hobo brand and challenge the norms of traditional hospitality.

Hobo in Stockholm is one of Nordic Hotels & Resorts’ most successful lifestyle concepts. Steering away from the norms of traditional boutique hotels, Hobo has made a name for itself with a youthful and punkish approach to hospitality. Less concierge services and fine-dining, more live concerts and pop-up clubs. It is this irreverent personality that Jack Reilly has been a big part of perfecting over the years in various roles. Now, he’s stepping up to the role of General Manager.

– Hobo has been a success since it entered the market. It’s a groundbreaking concept, focusing on the urban explorer and local experiences. When searching for its next General Manager, we knew we needed someone who could walk the walk and live the brand – for this reason, I am excited to announce the promotion of Jack Reilly as our new General Manager at Hobo Hotel, says Henrik Berghult, Chief Operating Officer.

A passionate and innovative leader, Jack brings over 10 years of experience in hospitality. He’s originally from England and brings international experience from starting and running some of the best cocktail bars in Wellington, New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia. In 2017, Jack started his journey in Nordic Hotel & Resorts, then at the opening of neighboring hotel At Six. He later moved on to Operations Manager for the hotel’s rooftop park Stockholm Under Stjärnorna. In 2019, he joined the Hobo family as Food & Beverage Manager, eventually taking over the role as Operations Manager.

When it comes to both crystallizing and elevating the Hobo brand, Jack has been integral to bringing it to prominence. With his international experience of opening and developing globally successful concepts, Hobo is strengthening its position on the Nordic hospitality scene. It will continue to cater to the forward-thinking and open-minded experience collectors who value creativity.

– With Hobo, my goal is to continue evolving it to a new type of hotel. We want to create an institution beyond the hotel, a place where locals and tourists go to hang out regardless if they’re staying with us or not. The beauty of the Hobo concept is that it’s intrinsically in beta mode, growing and changing organically. I think Stockholm is ready for a lifestyle hotel that challenges and surprises, now more than ever, says Jack Reilly, General Manager for Hobo Hotel.

Jack started his position in October 2022. He will report to Chief Operating Officer Henrik Berghult.
