Natlink enters public phase of next-generation WeHunt platform set for May

Natlink, a leader in digital hunting solutions, is getting ready to soon introduce their next generation WeHunt platform. The new platform, with both an app to be introduced in May, and a new web application slated for an introduction in August, will be a significant evolution of today’s WeHunt and Tracker hunting apps. It also brings the Burrel trail camera app into the platform, creating the most comprehensive digital hunting solution on the market.

The new WeHunt platform has been in development since 2023, with teams members historically originating from Ultracom, Tracker, Burrel, B-bark and WeHunt now all working together in Natlink to create a seamless and powerful experience for all types of hunters and outdoor enthusiasts.

Natlink’s mission is to make hunting and outdoor activities simpler, safer, and more meaningful through smart technology. Drawing on over 50 years of combined expertise and technical knowledge, the platform is built using the latest digital infrastructure and architecture. Users will benefit from enhanced tools to help them observe, plan, communicate, track, analyze and report, all in one unified experience.

Bringing the best of Tracker and Burrel into one next generation WeHunt platform

WeHunt will fully integrate Tracker’s widely loved mapping and dog tracking features, offering state-of-the-art tracking functionality and next-level mapping. This will ensure precise, reliable, and easy tracking for dog owners and fellow hunters alike.

It will also incorporate the most valuable tools from the Burrel app, providing wildlife managers, conservationists, and hunt leaders with essential capabilities for game inventory and land management.

A platform built for everyone in the hunting community

5,000 beta testers and counting

Since autumn 2024, over 5,000 dedicated hunters originating from the traditional Tracker and WeHunt communities, representing the different types of users in the hunting community, across Finland, Sweden and Norway have been part of an exclusive development program, contributing invaluable feedback and ideas throughout the development process. Their insights have helped shape the content of the platform and ensure it delivers real value from day one to all different types of users, whether they are a hunt leader, dog handler, stand shooter, stalk hunter, gamekeeper, landowner or outdoor enthusiast.

In May, the next-generation WeHunt platform will officially be introduced for all new and existing users of WeHunt and Tracker. From there, it will continue to evolve, with new features and functions continuously released to bring it above par with current WeHunt and Tracker apps so they can then be sunset after 2025/26 hunting season.

Legacy apps remain fully functional

The current WeHunt and Tracker apps will remain active throughout the 2025/26 hunting seasons, serving as a backup during the transition period. While the new WeHunt platform will be fully ready for use in the upcoming season, users can continue to rely on the existing apps for a smooth and secure hunting experience.
