Swedish micromobility company MOVS now launching e-bikes – setting new standards for tech design focusing on minimalism and rider experience

Stockholm, 6th February 2023 - Swedish scaleup MOVS, launches two new e-bikes - Nörd and Ergo - breaking new ground in electric micromobility. Nörd is a high-tech cruiser for the tech-geek, while Ergo is an ergonomically designed every day companion. Each model is filled with smart design details, such as advanced sensors creating an intuitive driving experience, and a sleek, Uniframe design, using a single piece of aluminum with no joints. The idea behind MOVS is to make every day commuting in the city sustainable, stress free and accessible for as many as possible.

Now, for the first time, people can enjoy an electric bicycle that combines advanced technology and function with a strong Scandinavian identity. Rather than just assembling standard components in the development of Nörd and Ergo, every detail has been developed in-house to create a unique bike with an advanced riding experience. For example, the premium class removable battery, comes fitted with components you would normally find in the electric car industry. These bicycles are the first in a series of upcoming product launches from MOVS and pave the way for a stress-free and sustainable everyday life via a zero-emissions, circular system where you rent long term rather than own the bike.

“For us it is important to think differently. Instead of selling e-bikes we offer a membership with a simple and accessible platform. Rather than applying the traditional method of using standardized bike components off the shelf, we have developed most of the parts for our bikes ourselves. MOVS makes it easy to choose an electric bicycle via a monthly cost that competes with public transport charges and beats the high cost of fossil fuel and parking prices for those that commute via car.

The new e-bikes are available on the Swedish market but the company will expand to more markets during 2023.

Nörd and Ergo will be available on the Swedish market during spring 2023, with plans on expanding to more markets the forthcoming year.
