Dr. Alexander Schubert takes over the position of Chief Executive Officer at Mercedes-Benz Finans Sverige and Denmark – Michael Kanzleiter to retire from Mercedes-Benz

- Michael Kanzleiter, currently CEO of Mercedes-Benz Finans Sverige and Denmark, has decided to retire from Mercedes-Benz by the end of this year. Effective December 1, 2024, Dr. Alexander Schubert, will succeed Kanzleiter in his role as CEO of Mercedes-Benz Finans Sverige and Denmark, ensuring a smooth transition in the market.
Michael Kanzleiter started his career with the captive finance arm of Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart, Germany, and subsequently held several positions within the Mercedes-Benz Mobility Group. Among other roles, he was responsible for Marketing & Communications at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services in the U.S. and served as CEO of Mercedes-Benz Financiamento Portugal. In addition, he was Sales Director of Mercedes-Benz Bank AG in Germany before assuming the role of CEO for the Scandinavian cluster of Mercedes-Benz Mobility in 2019.

Alexander Schubert is currently the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services in Poland and brings over 25 years of experience in the captive finance industry to his new role in Scandinavia. He has held various leadership positions at Mercedes-Benz Mobility Headquarters and across the globe, including CEO of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Taiwan and CFO of Mercedes-Benz Finance in Japan.
