Maryhill Estate Named One of the World’s Best New Hotels by Travel + Leisure It List 2025

The wait is over. Today, the renowned American travel magazine Travel + Leisure has officially unveiled its 2025 It List, celebrating the 100 best new hotels across the globe — and among this year’s standout destinations is Maryhill Estate. The It List recognizes the most groundbreaking hotel openings worldwide, and only three destinations from all of the Nordic countries made the coveted 2025 list. Nestled in the scenic region of Skåne, Maryhill Estate stands proudly as one of them.

Each year, Travel + Leisure’s editors and trusted travel writers comb through hundreds of hotel openings across six continents, 44 countries, and over 200 contenders. Only the boldest, most unforgettable make the cut. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the It List, and for the first time ever, Maryhill Estate has secured its place among the world’s elite – and proudly, it's one of just three Nordic hotels to do so.
