Professor Torgny Näsholm, Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet, Umeå, tilldelas årets Marcus Wallenbergpris för att ha visat hur skogsträd kan utnyttja organiska kväveföreningar. Han har också utvecklat nya typer av miljövänliga gödselmedel, som bygger på upptäckten.
Kung Carl XVI Gustaf delar ut Marcus Wallenbergpriset 2018 på 2 miljoner kronor till Torgny Näsholm i Stockholm måndag 24 september.
