The new microsite became live on September 16 and the homepage is currently centered on a teasing photo of the new Austrian machine with a large timer counting down in front of it.

This story started in late 2012 when KTM’s prototype ‘Beast’ stole the attention of the entire Milan Show (EICMA) with a fearsome roar through its open Akrapovič cans, accompanied by a video that raised heartbeats as fast as YouTube views. But now this legend is almost complete; when the timer displays all zeros on October 1 the content of the site will be available and the chance to finally see the production version of the new Super Duke R generation.

For those desperate for more, a teaser video linked to the microsite sets the tone for the new bike in true KTM style (only one wheel on the ground) with the rider clearly enjoying himself – on a closed circuit, of course. The teasing doesn’t stop there, as more features will be revealed as time ticks by.

Along with unveiling the bike in all its glory from all angles, the dedicated microsite will be the central hub for all topics regarding the 1290 SUPER DUKE R, including technical specifications, features, photos, 360° views, videos, different bike setups and even audio samples of the new bike.

More than just information and visuals to get the heart beating, this will be a continually updated community center for registered 1290 SUPER DUKE R fans right throughout 2014.
