I believe I am disconnected from the land. I have turned my gaze to my origin and access. I collect and work with material from my home area: a rural environment with agriculture and forest industry. I paint with pigments that I have made from dye plants I cultivate and harvest each year, make paper sheets of old newspapers, and build frames with wood felled by an arborist.
Jag tänker på dom gångerna jag inte förstått mitt sammanhang och dom gånger jag skämts för det jag gjort, dom gånger som gjort att jag kanske inte får var med längre, när det blivit så fel att min grund har skakats om. Tankar kring grupptillhörighet och utanförskap, hur viktigt det är för oss och hur dom tankarna påverkar alla våra beslut.

The exhibition consists of a series of abstract paintings; an Interplay between chance, structure, spatiality and time. Different variations of directions connect in subtle constellations and in drastic cuts. Daily impressions are filtered through the painter's hand out onto the canvas, consisting of both transparent and opaque color layers.

The show presents the release of a poetry book side by side with a scenographic installation where sculptures and paintings acts as both coulisse and as characters in a voice oriented performance. A play with the flatness of a surface as something we need to penetrate. Each sculpture balance with their face turned towards the viewers, who are invited to sit down in the hammock.
A. Erika Bergström studerar andra och sista året på masterprogrammet i fri konst på Konstfack. I utställningen To withstand outside pressure visar hon en grupp målningar som kommenterar måleriets kropp, tyngd och uthållighet installerad i en skör men obeveklig form. Hon arbetar med måleri som arena och fenomen men framförallt genom måleriet som fysisk handling.

Alexander Höglund's work compiles a 9-space-world with creatures found on a self-experienced astral trip. In the terminal the creatures dwell in the binary plasma, the virtual, beneath the leaves where one sits and thinks.
