Hannes Ferm – Bloom
"How do you sing in a world that’s falling apart? Bloom takes place in a time impaired by cultural stagnation in contrast to techno-capitalistic acceleration. Pop-cultures symptomatic relationship to this development is getting increasingly apparent, as today's youth is deprived of the means to develop an aesthetic representation, deprived of the opportunity to visualize a future. The piece blooms out of a frustration that the words are growing increasingly insufficient, the forms getting narrower, while the political problems of our time seem to escape from even being articulated."
