Kale Foods, which is part of the investment company Kale United, are launching a range of mouth watering vegan pizzans from British One Planet Pizza. The full range of frozen pizzas are now available to consumers from online retailer Vembla in Stockholm and Malmö, as well as in food service.
After five years at the helm of Sweden’s second largest food retail chain Coop, Magnus Johansson is now joining the vegan equity house Kale United. Sustainability was at the heart of his tenure at Coop; he will build on this experience at Kale United.
In November 2021, Kale United acquired the vegan meal kit company Enkla kassen in a move to create a direct distribution channel between its plant-based food businesses and end-consumers. In 2022, Kale Foods will extend its major investments within the Swedish vegan food industry under its own brand name Astrid & Aporna, whilst bringing several internationally acclaimed plant-based food products to the market. Anders Nilback will take up his new position as CEO of Kale Foods on the 1st March 2022 and brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in the food business.
