Humly Booking Device Wins Red Dot Design Award
Award marks third win this year in recognition of the device’s aesthetic qualities for serving modern, flexible workspaces.
Humly, a workplace experience company with more than a decade of innovation for modernizing business environments, continues to rake in awards that recognize the aesthetic value and user experience of their premium hardware solutions. Red Dot is the latest organization to recognize these qualities that have made Humly Booking Device among today’s top choices for space booking platforms in the business community, with Humly among the winners in the Red Dot Award: Product Design category.
The Red Dot Design Award program is a global design competition that aims to distinguish how innovative design qualities make a positive impact on business activities. The program relies on expert juries in three core award areas: product design, communication design, and design concepts.
This latest recognition marks the second Red Dot Award for Humly in the product design category following an award for the company’s first workplace hardware solution, Humly Room Display, in 2021. It also marks the third award for Humly Booking Device this year on the heels of German Design Award and GOOD DESIGN® Award wins in January. Collectively, the two devices – each developed in collaboration with design partner No Picnic – have a combined nine wins in three years.
Launched in 2023, the Humly Booking Device is a slim, small, and infinitely flexible device for mounting on and underneath a variety of surfaces where people work, gather, and collaborate. The device provides staff and visitors with a versatile capacitive touchscreen solution to view and reserve available bookable spaces on campus, including meeting rooms, huddle spaces and phone booths. Importantly, the device supports hot-desking functionality, addressing today’s most important space booking need that has emerged from the hybrid work lifestyle.
Its slim form factor houses a small, high-resolution LCD display (3.46 inches) and provides flexible mounting and positioning options on and underneath various surfaces, including walls, shelves, and desks. Booking details on the screen are readable from a distance while colors wrapping around the thin bezel clearly communicate space availability. The overall design comes together with an elegant glow that exudes a timeless visual quality and adds class to the surrounding environment.

Humly will demonstrate the Humly Booking Device and other Humly hardware and software workplace solutions at InfoComm, taking place June 12-14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Humly will emphasize new recently developed functionalities for desk control, occupancy sensing and parking space reservations.
