These questions and more at the launch of the new Euro Consumer Heart Index, on July 3rd, 2008. The Health Consumer Powerhouse invites you to the press launch starting at 10.00 a.m. in Brussels. The index takes into account the 27 Member States, along with Norway and Switzerland. It provides a ranking of the consumer-friendliness of cardiovascular care for the first time across Europe. The Heart Index assesses consumer rights and choice, access, prevention, procedures and outcomes. The Heart Index will empower consumers by providing clear and objective cardiovascular care performance data, not just for their own country but also for all their European neighbours.

The Heart Index will reveal: - Which countries are failing to deliver care according to established guidelines; - Which are the only 3 European countries where patients can seek cardiovascular care based on the clinics that have the best results.
