OlsAro Crop Biotech AB, a high-tech start-up company within agriculture, is looking for a CEO that can commercialize their salt tolerant wheat on a billion-dollar global market with a repetitive cash flow. OlsAro is offering a solution in a growing demand for food in a world with an increasing population and decreasing arable land due to climate change, poor soil management and urbanization. OlsAro´s current and future application contribute to several of the 17 UN goals for sustainable development.

OlsAro is founded by Olof Olsson, Professor in Molecular Biology at Lund University and Henrik Aronsson, Professor in Plant Molecular Biology at University of Gothenburg. Both founders have deep research - and commercial experiences in the agriculture sector. Proof of concept and established commercial contacts have already been established in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is initial market for OlsAro´s and will be a steppingstone for a further market expansion into Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

OlsAro and its owners are looking forward to a fundraising process to strengthen and support the ongoing global journey. We offer you a strategic role as CEO and it is therefore important that you have experience and knowledge both in the agriculture and commercial sectors. You will be supported by a highly skilled and passionate team and possibilities for ownership will be available. OlsAro is supported by GU Ventures, one of the world’s leading incubators, with over 20 years of experience of turning budding ideas and scientific breakthroughs into thriving businesses.

If you have documented business experience from markets in Asia and Europe as well as industrial experiences, it a great plus. You should have good negotiating skills and knowledge on how to close deals. Since OlsAro is a start-up company it is important that you are passionate about finding and building a knowledgeable team and that you have experience of leading a start-up company or an organisation through an expansive phase.
