Greenely Appoints Hedvig Co-founder John Ardelius as New CTO to Lead the Company's Technological Development and Expansion

Stockholm, (September 16, 2024) – Greenely, the fast-growing Stockholm-based energy company, has appointed John Ardelius as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Ardelius will play a key role in Greenely’s continued expansion and technological focus on developing innovative solutions for households and the company’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform. This system empowers households to lower their energy costs through optimized electricity consumption, while also creating new revenue streams by actively contributing to grid balancing and stability.

John Ardelius has a strong background in technical leadership roles, including as CTO and co-founder at Hedvig, as well as positions at McKinsey and RISE. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Physics and a PhD in Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
