Dunlop Heads To Sweden Bidding For Repeat Victory
Following Gautier Paulin’s win in Italy, the Dunlop MX1 riders head to the Uddevalla track for the Grand Prix of Sweden. The 2013 FIM World Motocross Championship is now over halfway through with nine rounds completed and eight remaining. The season has seen some excellent results for Dunlop riders with 7 out of 8. Kawasaki’s Gautier Paulin is Dunlop’s highest placed contender in the series in second position, helped by his three Grand Prix wins.
The Uddevalla round follows that of Maggiora where Paulin took his latest win. The ground for both tracks is classified as hard pack terrain so Dunlop will make the same recommendations as for the previous event. First choice tyre is the MX51 for medium terrain with the softer terrain MX31 tyres a possible requirement depending on track watering or muddy conditions as experienced last year. In the event that the ground is ultra-hard the MX71 harder tyre will be suggested.
Eddy Seel, Dunlop MX Race Coordinator:“I’m hopeful of another good result given that the conditions could be the same as the last races. Gautier will definitely be highly motivated after beating Cairoli on his home ground. I think Honda’s Bobby [Bobryshev] and Max [Nagl] will be on better form this time out and Jeremy [van Horebeek/Kawasaki] will be looking for a podium soon after finishing fourth in Italy and making great progress.”
