Gernandt & Danielsson advises in a EUR 140 million issue of bonds by Waterland to finance the acquisition of LifeFit Group and the redemption of its bonds

Gernandt & Danielsson advises in Light AcquiCo GmbH ("AcquiCo") (an entity indirectly held by investment funds advised by Waterland Private Equity) issue of bonds in a total amount of EUR 140 million within a framework of EUR 300 million. The proceeds from the bond issue shall part-finance AcquiCo's acquisition of LifeFit Group TopCo GmbH (together with its subsidiaries “LifeFit Group") and finance the redemption of LifeFit Group's outstanding bonds 2019/2025.

LifeFit Group is a leading fitness and health platform in Germany, uniting several fitness brands under one roof. The group offer fitness concepts such as Barry's, Fitness First and the Gym Society.

Waterland is an independent private equity investment company that supports companies in realising their growth plans. With substantial financial resources and industry expertise, Waterland enables its portfolio companies to achieve accelerated growth both organically and through acquisitions. Waterland has offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Spain and Switzerland. The company currently has approximately EUR 14 billion in equity funds.

Gernandt & Danielsson advises Pareto Securities AS, LifeFit Group and AcquiCo with a team consisting of partner Mikael Borg, counsel Adrian Della Morte Pålstam as well as associates Mathilda Wallén, Erik Karlsson and Jacob Linder. Pareto Securities AS acted as sole bookrunner in the bond issue.
