Screening of foreign direct investments

The Swedish Government has referred a proposal to the Swedish Council on Legislation regarding the implementation of a new regime for the screening of foreign direct investments. The new regime is proposed to enter into force on 1 December 2023 and will apply to a wide range of investors and investments, affecting inter alia due diligence, deal certainty and timing.
