Coordinated enforcement on the role of data protection officers launched by the EDPB

On 15 March 2023, the European Data Protection Board (“EDPB”) announced the launch of its second coordinated enforcement framework (the “CEF 2023”) with a focus on the role of data protection officers (“DPO”). This is the second coordinated enforcement framework carried out by the EDPB, the first having taken place in 2022 with a focus on the use of cloud services in the public sector.
