FREEDOMtravel launches Destination Square and Destination Award at the camper fair "Frihet på hjul” March 18-20

On March 18-20 2022, it's time for the camper fair “Frihet på hjul” (Freedom on wheels) at Kistamässan in Stockholm. The digital travel magazine FREEDOMtravel will be there with an inspiring "Destination Square" and will also for the first time ever give an award to the "Destination of the Year".

Many people long for travels and fairs again, and the camper fair "Frihet på hjul" (Freedom on wheels) at Kistamässan on March 18-20 is expected to attract a large audience. The digital travel magazine FREEDOMtravel will be there with a larger stand than ever and offer a range of news, such as "Destination Square" and an award for the "Destination of the Year".

Destination Square

Campers and accessories are shown at the fair, but as a camper you of course also want inspiration about destinations. That is why FREEDOMtravel presents a "Destination Square" in its stand. At the Destination Square, a number of destinations are presented for campers, both within and outside Sweden.

Each destination is presented by a set of brochures, and in some cases giveaways or prizes are added. Visitors can discuss the destinations with FREEDOMtravel, and in several cases representatives of the destinations are also present to answer questions. The destinations you will encounter in the stand are:

Lectures about 6 destinations

FREEDOMtravel will hold 6 lectures during the fair (in Swedish), which will take the audience on exciting road trips. The lectures offer tips on things to see and do along the way, but also practical information for travelers with campers. Here is the program:

• Saturday 19 March at 11: Crystal Valley in northern Czech Republic
• Saturday 19 March at 14: More than glass in Småland's Glasriket
• Sunday 20 March at 11: Magical destinations in Germany
• Sunday 20 March at 15: Roadtrip in amazing Switzerland

The "Destination of the Year" award

FREEDOMtravel will for the first time give an award to the "Destination of the Year". The award is given to the destination that FREEDOMtravel appreciated the most to discover with a camper during the previous year. The receiver of the award might be a municipality, a region or another kind of geographical area. The destination award of this year is given to Swedish destination. Year 2023 two awards will be presented, one to a Swedish destination and one to a destination outside Sweden. The criteria are:

• Plenty of pitches for campers and / or campsites
• You feel welcome with a camper
• Unique experiences and sights
• A destination that can be visited during a large part of the year

The winner will be announced March 19th at 01:45 pm. 

A lot will happen in FREEDOMtravel's stand

A lot will happen in FREEDOMtravel's stand during the fair. Many of the products from FREEDOMtravel's online store will there, and visitors can browse among kitchen towels, duvet cover sets, candle lanterns, dishcloths, potholders, keychains and rugs - all with stylish patterns of campers or caravans. The stand also shows world news from the company BestPark - a completely new service point for campers.
