New CEO of Fossil Free Marine
Fossil Free Marine announce its new CEO, Karl-Oskar Tjernström. Karl-Oskar who co-founded Fossil Free Marine together with Niklas Sjöö, in 2019, now takes over as the company’s first full time CEO.
Karl-Oskar Tjernström joins Fossil Free Marine from Samsung Electronics Nordic, where he has spent a large part of his career in various roles within Marketing, Digital Strategy, e-commerce and Digital Media. Before working at Samsung, Karl-Oskar spent numerous years working within FMCG (fast moving consumer goods), in senior roles within Marketing, running innovation, concept development as well as supply chain projects at companies like Wasabröd, Barilla, Colgate-Palmolive, Lithells and Sibylla. Karl-Oskar holds a MSc in Economics, Finance and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE).
-This is something of a dream come true, to be able to pursue my passion for boating, and at the same time do my best to improve the world we live in, for future generations. Leaving my high performing, highly committed team at Samsung, where I built up a full funnel Digital organization, was not easy – especially not in the midst of a global pandemic. But I firmly believe that there comes a time in our lives when we need to make a choice, and this was that moment for me, says Karl-Oskar Tjernström.

With Fossil Free Marine's unique floating fuel station that is developed and soon ready for production, we will set a new world standard in safe and environmentally friendly storage and distribution of fuel in the marine industry. Soon sustainable fuels will be available for all boaters.
