Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing will operate from temporary air bases during Aurora 17

Swedish Armed Forces helicopters are being used for all kind of transportation, gathering information and search and rescue during Aurora 17. They will leave their permanent bases to operate from temporary bases during the exercise. One of these temporary helicopter bases will be situated at the Villingsberg firing range near the city of Karlskoga. Some ten helicopters, mainly Swedish (HKP16) Black Hawk but also two Finnish NH90, will be operating from that helicopter base from September 19th.

You are welcome to visit the helicopter base at Villingsbergs Training Ground on Tuesday September 19th at 11.00-12-00.
