IoT at a push of a button as Shortcut Labs introduce MQTT integration for Flic
Shortcut Labs AB, the leader in smart buttons, announces the integration of MQTT (Message Queueing Telemetry Transport) into the Flic Hub SDK. As a result, Flic buttons can now send MQTT messages via the Flic Hub.
Designed for IoT (Internet of Things) devices, MQTT enables easy command of multiple devices in real-time thanks to its efficient bandwidth and power consumption.
By incorporating MQTT support into the popular Hub SDK, IoT-enabled businesses can now benefit from connecting multiple already integrated devices and controlling them with a simple push of a button. Moreover, a centralized MQTT broker enables remote control of devices, allowing reduced latency and increased reliability.
“This update demonstrates how we are committed to constantly delivering solutions that not only simplify routines for smart homes but also for businesses. Including MQTT protocol on our popular Flic Hub SDK allows effortless scalability, allowing our business partners to add more buttons on their Hub device without disrupting operations,” says Oskar Öberg, Chief Technical Officer of Shortcut Labs.
The Flic MQTT integration is now available for all Flic HUB SDK users. More information and instructions on set-up can be found here.
