Ferroamp ramps up production - signs agreement with Kitron
Ferroamp is ramping up production and is signing a production agreement with Norwegian electronics manufacturer Kitron. The agreement concerns volume production of the EnergyHub for residential systems and is a step towards an international launch.
“Ferroamp continues to expand its operations through collaborations with strategic partners. We are delighted to have signed an agreement with Kitron, which has a leading position in electronics production and has the capacity to produce large volumes of EnergyHub systems for our residential customers,” says Krister Werner, CEO of Ferroamp.
Ferroamp is a Swedish greentech company focusing on energy and power optimisation of properties. The collaboration with Kitron will triple the production of EnergyHub Wall 14.
With the patented DC technology the EnergyHub becomes the brain of the electricity system in the property and makes it possible to control electricity use. In that way property owners can get more out of their solar cells and build a smart system that integrates electric car charging and energy storage. The system is available for both commercial estates and appartment buildings but EnergyHub Wall 14 is suited for private homes.
During the first half of 2022, Ferroamp increased its sales by 60 percent and is now in a rapid growth phase. Last week an extended production collaboration with the Swedish manufacturer NOTE was also presented.
The agreement with Kitron is a way for Ferroamp to prepare for scaling up and launching international. The production will take place in Poland and is planned to start within a few weeks.
“We are very happy that Ferroamp has chosen Kitron as a manufacturing partner to enable its strong growth journey. For a few years now, Kitron has invested heavily in meeting the sharply increasing demand within the Electrification market, and we are well positioned to meet that demand. Signing a long-term partnership agreement with Ferroamp, a market leader in the integration of local power grids, is a great recognition,” says Kristoffer Asklöv, COO of Kitron.
