Ferroamp is a finalist in the Techarenan Challenge

Ferroamp has been named a finalist, and therefore one of the Nordic region’s 50 most prominent future-companies, in the yearly entrepreneur competition Techarenan Challenge.

Techarenan Challenge is an entrepreneur competition that is open for all of Sweden’s and the Nordic region’s entrepreneurial companies in the startup and growth phase. The competition has been arranged since 2014 and is aimed at companies that are built on a unique innovation or business idea, with the potential to be commercialized on the global market. When Techarenan today released what companies have advanced to the finals, Ferroamp was among the 50 finalists.

Our profile as a company, that is built on a unique innovation together with ambitions to commercialize internationally, agrees well with the direction of the competition, says Krister Werner, CEO at Ferroamp.

Swedish Ferroamp Elektronik AB was founded in 2010 by Björn Jernström, based on the now patented innovation that improves the usage of a three-phase delivery, ACE - Adaptive Current Equalization. The concept has throughout the years been developed to a modular and scalable system, that makes it possible for a flexible integration of solar cells, energy storage, and charging of electric vehicles in a local DC grid.

- There is an extensive electrification happening right now in society, which means that the demand for power increases, as well as the load on the electricity grid. The major question is how the electricity will be sufficient everywhere at the same time. Ferroamp’s system, that reduces the power outage from the electricity grid by integrating and controlling solar energy, energy storage, and charging of electric cars in an optimal way, will be a possibility maker in the energy conversion, says Björn Jernström, founder and CTO at Ferroamp.
