Ferroamp builds a stronger organization for research and development

Ferroamp will be reinforced from March 1st with Carl Heyman, Chief Development Officer, who together with the founder Björn Jernström, Chief Technology Officer, will operate the research and development at Ferroamp.

Ferroamp is leading within technology development for direct current grids, and has for multiple years received awards and recognitions for the outstanding technology in their products. Ferroamp won the InterSolar Award for the third time this past spring, and they have a lot of important patents for their unique solutions.

In order to secure the continued leadership within technology, parallel with increasing the ability to deliver high quality products to the market, Ferroamp will reinforce their research and development organization on March 1st with Carl Heyman as Chief Development Officer.

The founder and Chief Technology Officer Björn Jernström will focus on Ferroamp’s future concepts and technological strategies moving forward, while Carl Heyman as the Chief Development Officer will receive the responsibility to transform concepts and technology to secure quality products for volume industries.

“It is important for us that we are in the front run with our technology, at the same time that we have an efficient and focused development organization that turns tech solutions into volume products out on the market”, says Krister Werner, CEO at Ferroamp. “That is why, with great joy, we can announce that Carl Heyman has chosen to join our team. With his experience of developing efficient development processes, Carl will have a lot to add to our organization” Krister continues.

Carl Heyman is 38 years old and has two degrees from Uppsala University, one Master of Science in Engineering Physics and one Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.

Carl has a long experience with the electricity industry, both from the transmission side through 11 years at ABBs FACTS-corporate (Flexible AC Transmission System), and from the generation side through cleantech company Climeon. He has a broad experience from development and product management with a strong focus on development of processes and organizations.

Moving forward, Sebastian Merchant will focus on software development as the SW Development Manager, and Anders Becker, who has a long experience from different roles at Ferroamp, will get the key position within system management as the Chief Architect.
