During the trade fair, we are proud to launch a brand new collection by one of Sweden’s most beloved designers, Stig Lindberg. Known for his playful and timeless patterns, Stig Lindberg’s designs come to life in a woven format at Ekelund — a unique offering as these are the only woven textiles in Europe featuring Stig Lindberg’s patterns.
Stig left his mark on the international design scene with an exhibition in New York in 1957. In 1959, he gained popularity in Japan through an exhibitionat the SEIBU department store and has since been celebrated across Europe and the world. In 2025, a brand-new exhibition dedicated to Stig Lindberg will travel throughout Japan, with stops in both Tokyo and Osaka.
”It is an honor to launch Stig Lindberg as part of our collection. His designs are both playful and classic, and we are thrilled to showcase his patterns on our woven products,” says Martina Dagborn, Marketing Manager at Ekelund.
New Designs from Frida Kahlo and William MorrisWe are also delighted to present new products in our existing licensed collections. The Frida Kahlo collection expands with a new colorful and vibrant pattern, Primavera, reflecting Kahlo’s unique artistry and iconic style. Meanwhile, the William Morris collection, celebrating the Arts and Crafts movement, introduces the new pattern Strawberry Thief — one of Morris’s most iconic and beloved designs.
”With new releases from both Frida Kahlo and William Morris, in addition to our own collections, we continue to offer textiles that unite cultural heritage with Swedish craftsmanship. Our customers will find something for every home and style” says Martina Dagborn.

Welcome to Ekelund Linen Weaving Mill – Sweden’s oldest weaving mill since 1692.
Ekelund textiles are available in 20 countries around the world. We weave towels, placemats, runners, napkins, tablecloths, blankets, and cushion covers. Our style is timeless and personal, often featuring patterns inspired by Scandinavian textile traditions. We also collaborate with well-known brands.
At Ekelund Linen Weaving Mill, we are very proud of our heritage and have chosen to keep our roots firmly grounded in Swedish soil, with all our production taking place in Horred. By maintaining full control over the entire production chain, we can fine-tune our manufacturing to match demand, and with an eco-conscious mindset, we produce textiles made from 100% organic linen and cotton.
Since 2016, we have been GOTS certified, which means that every product you choose from us carries an organic label of responsibility, care, and authentic craftsmanship. The certification covers the entire process from farming to finished textile.
In 1878, we made our first delivery to the Swedish royal court and King Gustav V, a tradition that continues to this day. Being a royal supplier is a prestigious title we carry with pride.
In Horred, you can take a free weaving tour and learn about our long history. Here you will also find our factory store, a small museum, and a café offering light meals and coffee.
