EcoDataCenter strengthens focus on large-scale data center campuses through strategic sale to CapMan Infra

Stockholm 28 April, 2025 – EcoDataCenter today announces that the company is completing a strategic sale of three of its data centers to CapMan Infra’s data center platform. The sale comprises of two facilities in Stockholm and one in Piteå. This transaction is part of EcoDataCenter's long-term strategy to further focus its operations on the design, construction, and operation of large data center campuses.

“This sale marks an important strategic milestone for EcoDataCenter, where we are now focusing on what we do best. Namely, designing, building, and operating large-scale data centers for AI and cloud services. We will continue to expand our business and strengthen our position to meet the growing demand for innovative data centers,” said Peter Michelson, CEO of EcoDataCenter.

The data centers in Stockholm and Piteå, which EcoDataCenter acquired in 2019 and 2020, respectively, were earmarked for divestment following a strategic review in order to further streamline their operations and focus on larger campus projects.

The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
