paybox Bank AG, a subsidiary of A1 Telekom Austria Group, enters partnership with Doconomy

Vienna-based paybox Bank AG enters a partnership with Doconomy to promote the topics of sustainability and responsibility in their daily business. paybox Bank is using Doconomy’s Åland Index, a cloud-based CO2 impact calculation methodology. The Åland Index offers insights to customer behavior and solutions to take climate action.

This summer’s extreme weather conditions round the planet, with flooding’s as well as severe drought, has increased the public awareness that the world is facing tough challenges. And this month, the latest IPCC report pointed out that the need for instant climate action is acute and giant efforts needs to be undertaken to change the hazardous development. As paybox Bank joins the Doconomy network of brave and committed companies it is done in a true Austrian manner where sustainable development is a constitutional state goal. Austria has for years been implementing sustainable development principles in ecological, social and economic dimensions and continues this commitment.

The Doconomy/paybox Bank partnership marks Doconomy’s step into yet another new market – Austria. In record time the Doconomy services are now used by banks and brands in 19 countries including the Nordics, Germany, Belgium, Italy, France and USA.
