“Innovation got us into this mess and innovation can get us out” – Doconomy listed amongst the World’s most innovative companies by Fast Company
Each year, Fast Company lists the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies. When Doconomy this year is highlighted amongst these cutting-edge companies, it comes as a recognition to the strong conviction that has been in the company’s DNA since the very beginning. Innovations create greater value to the many while fueling more innovation – which is what is required to slow down the current climate crisis. Doconomy's innovation process is founded on the understanding of our limited time and the need for rapid development of tangible solutions that result in direct reduction of environmental impact to help future proof life on planet earth.
As a result, Doconomy has launched groundbreaking and highly awarded innovations such as The Carbon Emission Limit for credit cards (DO Black) and a Carbon Footprint Calculator for products (The 2030 Calculator). Doconomy has created a whole new category where bold entrepreneurs and visionaries are now pushing the limits to be a part of the solution by providing consumers and manufacturers with tools to manage their environmental footprint.
“At Doconomy we foster a first mover mindset by investing heavily in the exploration of new disruptive models to accelerate our ability to launch tangible tools that help users reduce their environmental footprint. When facing a problem with such magnitude as climate change, innovation becomes a direct requirement.” Johan Pihl, Doconomy Founder and Head of Innovation
Instead of waiting around for governments and regulators to act, more and more companies from a growing number of industries are acting on their own. They are realizing that time is running out and that everybody needs to step up the responsibility to address climate change and its consequences.
Doconomy has been pioneering this industry since 2018 and is by many considered to be the world’s first Impact Tech company. Founded by Johan Pihl and Mathias Wikström, Doconomy has received global recognition for creating services and solutions that makes a difference for everyone by allowing each individual to directly contribute to mitigating climate change. This illustrates that the importance of innovations when aiming to change the world and doing it at a high pace.
“Climate Change is a man-made problem caused by our own ingenuity; at Doconomy we believe that the same ingenuity can bring about the solution.” Mathias Wikström, Doconomy Founder and CEO.
Doconomy is now establishing a dedicated sustainability lab to facilitate more partnerships around innovation and product development. The initiative will be managed by Johan Pihl, founder and Head of Innovation at Doconomy.
